Notes: Set taken from handwritten setlist. Taken from https://mygigography.wordpress.com/ 'Three years earlier, at their peak, I had seen the Inspirals perform to crowds of thousands in their home town of Manchester. Now they were playing for a few hundred die-hard fans, in a venue where the stage wasn’t big enough for the entire band. Clint Boon and his Hammond organ were on a separate smaller section of stage. Between him and the band was a walkway that led to the toilets. You had to walk through the band to go to the toilet. It seemed slightly disrespectful – but a man’s gotta go, when a man’s gotta go!'

1995 - Mute drop the band.
Notes: From NME: "Mute Records and Inspiral Carpets will no longer be working together. The decision was mutual, the band having come to the end of their agreed contract. However, Mute Songs (Mute's publishing company) continues to have a long and committed relationship with Inspiral Carpets. We wish them success for the future." It is understood the Inspirals left Mute because the label was unhappy with the new Inspiral songs, which are 'darker' than tracks on their most recent album, 'Devil Hopping'...They are currently recording new songs and considering offers from other record companies.
