Hot As F*** Tour
23 June 2006 Friday - Tokyo Project, Oldham, Manchester
Theme From Cow / Joe / Weakness / Generations / Sleep Well Tonight / Directing Traffic / She Comes In The Fall / Two Worlds Collide / Seeds Of Doubt / Sackville / This Is How It Feels / I Want You / Come Back Tomorrow / Butterfly / Dragging Me Down /
encore: Commercial Reign / Saturn 5
Notes: Sold Out Show. I was there with my dad. Amazing show, the band came on earlier than expected. The band had to be off stage (mabye 22:00 curfew) before the club night started. As we left the venue the punters for the cheap drinks and club tunes were lined up for entry. Before they started the encore the crowd were chanting lyrics to 'This Is How It Feels'. The bootleg was recorded downstairs next to the TV screen, toilets and bar P.A. speakers, rather than upstairs were the audience were. The sound could be confused with a 'distant' mixing desk recording.

encore: Commercial Reign / Saturn 5
Notes: I was there with my dad. Not as good as the Friday night show. The band had to be off stage early again (mabye 22:00 curfew) before the club night started. Tickets were still available on the door. Club night goers came in early at no extra charge towards the end of the set. The bootleg was recorded downstairs next to the TV screen (which kept cutting out but the audio was fine). The sound could be confused with a 'distant' mixing desk recording.

Saturn 5 / Kick Out The Clocks / Let Go / Directing Traffic / Joe / 3145 / Jean Genie (David Bowie cover) - Venomous / This Is How It Feels / Two Worlds Collide / Dragging Me Down / Time Is The Thief / Yeah
Notes: I was there with my dad. Nice little festival. Free entry, lots of parking and the weather was great. I think there was two or three stages too, so plenty to see. The sound was good. The turn out wasn't massive, despite being advertised locally and the weather being good. Tom played a great set and was later seen signing merch and meeting with fans. He briefly watched some of the Lightning Seeds set too before being interuppted by fans.

Probably The First Digital Spine... (I-Tunes Exclusive Interview) 54:26
Notes: Initally the release was an I-Tunes only exclsuive download. The Interview was tagged as Probably The First Digital Spine Message In The World Ever”, The full interview was only available to hear by downloading the entire set through I-Tunes. To promote the release a free podcast was made available through the official website and to moosletter subscribers, it was entitled Keep The Podcast Around Interview. A 2 CD promo set was produced to promote the set, it was the only CD format for the release and still remains very expensive and hard to find today. Over the years the set was distributed to several download suppliers, even a lossless FLAC version was made available too.
This was the first time Garage Full Of Flowers (Flexi Version) was available officially, Lost In Space Again features in digital format for the first time here too. Saturn 5 (feat. Mark E Smith) is still unique to the set.

Notes: Sold Out Show. Date taken from March 2007 purple tour poster (with the black cow logo with white writing). I was there with my dad. The sound was really bad. The bass was too loud and the venue was packed, I think they were still selling tickets on the door despite the gig being announced as sold out.

Dragging Me Down / She Comes In The Fall / Two Worlds Collide / Saturn 5 / This Is How It Feels
Notes: I was there. The poorest gig in the series of Manchester V Cancer shows. The line up wasn't very strong and the organisers were trying to target a younger audience. The buzz around the show wasn't great and there wasn't any special one off collaborations like previous years. Manchester legends did not headline the show, The Enemy did.

Notes: Free entry. Tom playing acoustic. I was there with my dad. A few inspiral fans turned up, but left when the banjo came out. I was pretty tempted to leave towards the end when the obscure blues stuff started too. This gig was wiped from my hard-drive so I only have the setlist notes.

06 June 2009 - Manchester Musical History Tours by Phill Gatenby & Craig Gill.
Notes: The 'Oasis' bus tour debuts. Devised by Inspiral Carpets drummer Craig Gill, who already runs a series of Manchester Music bus and walking tours, alongside music expert Phill Gatenby. The bus tour revealed famous locations in the history of bands including Joy Division and The Smiths. The Oasis theme was revised due to the Oasis Heaton Park homecoming shows taking place at the time.
Craig said he’s been surprised by how much interest there has already been in the tour. He said: "I put up some details on our website about the Oasis tour ahead of their Heaton Park gigs and there have been enquiries from across the world. I guess if people are coming all this way to watch the band play, they are interested to see where the lads grew up, where they played football, where they bought their records from too."
